When is the diving season in North Cyprus?
Our official diving season runs from April to November, when the Mediterranean is calmest and warmest. During peak summer (July and August), water temperatures can reach a balmy 30°C. Even in the shoulder months, water temperatures rarely dip below 17°C, offering incredible, crystal-clear visibility that often exceeds 30 meters.
Where exactly are you located in Alsancak?
Alsancak is ideally positioned just west of Girne (Kyrenia). We operate right on the coastline, giving us quick boat and shore access to some of the finest reefs, walls, and underwater caverns in the region. Mare Monte beach is right next to the Merit Crystal, Merit Royal, Merit Diamond & Merit Premier Hotel Group, so very easy to find or WhatsApp us for a pin location.
What kind of marine life can I expect to see?
The rocky reef structures around Alsancak are teeming with life! You can regularly spot green and loggerhead sea turtles, large groupers, amberjacks, octopuses, moray eels, and colorful schools of parrotfish or wrasse.
For Beginners & Try Dives
I’ve never dived before. Can I try it?
Yes of course, its always the best place to start with crystal clear waters. you do not even have to be able to swim, our fully qualified team will help you,
What is the minimum age to dive?
Children can start experiencing underwater worlds with us from 8 years old (in shallow pool-like conditions), while standard introductory dives and certification courses begin at 10 years old.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
For a beginner Try Dive, you just need to be comfortable and relaxed in water where you cannot touch the bottom. For full certification courses (like the Open Water Diver course), there are standard swimming comfort and floating tests required for safety.
For Certified Divers
What training agencies do you support?
We are IANTD Platinum Dive Centre, but we happily welcome divers certified by any recognized international organization, including BSAC, CMAS, SSI, PADI and SDI.

If you are certified through IANTD,SSI or PADI, we can look you up instantly in the online database using your full name and date of birth. For other training agencies, we strongly recommend bringing a photo/digital copy of your certification card or logbook so we can get you in the water without delay.

Yes! Alongside our local reef and wall dives, we organize advanced excursions. We can arrange trips out to deeper local features or specialized excursions to world-class sites like the famous Zenobia Wreck (requires proper advanced certifications and scheduling).

For all of our entry-level courses and beginner Try Dives, full equipment rental is completely included. For certified daily guided dives, you can choose to rent a full set of high-quality, regularly serviced gear from us or bring your own (tanks and weights are always provided).
What are the medical requirements to dive?
Safety is our absolute priority. All participants must fill out a standard medical questionnaire before diving. If you have any pre-existing conditions (such as asthma, high blood pressure, or heart conditions), you will simply need a written sign-off from a physician stating you are fit to dive.
How long do I need to wait before flying home?
Following international safety standards, you must wait at least 12 hours after a single dive, and a minimum of 18 to 24 hours after multiple days of diving before flying.
